Seahorse Surge Slots

Seahorse Surge Slots

While RTG offers dozens of five-reel slots, Seahorse Surge slots increases the game grid with a sixth reel. Fish, other underwater creatures, and poker symbols fill this 6 x 4 grid. With several bonus features and tremendous payouts, we found a lot to love about this game.

The Paytable and Symbols

All winning combinations require a match of three or more symbols across a payline. Combinations need to start on the first reel and offer the following prizes.

  • Jack – 3 to 36x
  • Queen – 3 to 60x
  • King – 6 to 75x
  • Ace – 6 to 90x
  • Jellyfish – 15 to 180x
  • Starfish – 30 to 360x
  • Yellow Tang – 45 to 600x
  • Angelfish – 75 to 900x
  • Octopus Scatter – 1 to 50 times your total bet

The Seahorse Wild is worth whatever symbol it replicates in a winning combination. The scatter also triggers one of the special features that we’ll discuss below.

The Game’s Special Features

In the base game, landing at least one wild without a winning combination may trigger the Cascade Bonus. All low-paying symbols leave the reels and high-paying symbols, scatters, or wilds fill the empty spaces to increase the odds of landing a payout.

Three or more scatters award free spins. You get eight free spins with three scatters, 10 with four, 15 with five, and 20 with six. With every spin, there’s a chance your spin will reveal a 1 x 4 stacked wild. That stacked wild offers a multiplier of 1x to 5x. If you don’t win with it, you get one re-spin to try again. This keeps going until you get a winning combination.

Getting Started

Slot games all have volatility ratings. A game with low volatility typically has winning combinations, but the payouts are smaller. High-volatility slots don’t lead to winning combinations as often, but the prizes are much higher when they do. Seahorse Surge slots is a medium volatility game, which makes it a great option if you want higher prizes and more frequent wins.

While we didn’t have a lot of winning spins, those that did paid well. Our sixth spin triggered the random Cascade Bonus and we won $66 on a $3 total bet. Our seventh and tenth spins were also winners for a total of $9.30.

With 30 paylines and a max payout of 50,000x, this underwater slot is one of the more rewarding selections from RTG. Set the coin value (a penny to $5) up to the $150 max bet. Once that’s set, choose how fast you want the reels to spin. We love faster reels, but you might want to back down to the single lightning bolt. From there, you can spin or turn on autoplay.

That’s all it takes to get started. Give the reels a spin and enjoy the calming water noises and gentle music.
