Rudolph Unleashed Slots

RTG came out with a line of Rudolph slots several years ago and regularly adds new slots to that line-up. This wasn’t the Rudolph of Christmas cartoons and animated shows. Rudolph was a tough guy who was tired of not being valued as much as he felt he should be. He’s back.

In Rudolph Unleashed slot, the reindeer is a little kinder and gentler, but he’s having more fun than ever before. He’s loose and doing what makes him happy.

Here’s What You Win

Rudolph Unleashed is a medium-volatility game with 178 paylines. To get a winning combination, all it takes is three or more identical symbols on adjacent reels starting from the left.

  • Broken Ornament – 4, 6, or 10x
  • Collar – 6, 8, or 12x
  • Stomped Present – 8, 10, or 16x
  • Bag of Goodies – 20, 30, or 40x
  • Elf – 30, 40, or 60x
  • Mrs. Claus – 40, 60, or 100x

In this game, there’s also Santa found on the second, third, and fourth reels. He’s a scatter who triggers one bonus feature. Rudolph is a Moving Wild and only appears on the fifth reel. The final symbol is the Wild, which replaces the paying symbols to help form winning combinations or larger wins. On any spin, you can win up to 2,500x before the spin ends.

Santa’s Re-Spin Feature

When Santa appears on all three reels at the same time, the Re-Spin bonus begins. Santa freezes in those spots, and you gain three re-spins. If addition Santa symbols join the others, the re-spins reset to three. Keep going until you run out of re-spins or trigger the Moving Wild bonus.

Rudolph’s Moving Wild Bonus

When you get Rudolph on the fifth reel without any Santa Scatters on the second, third, or fourth reels, the Moving Wild Feature triggers. Rudolph keeps moving from right to left issuing one re-spin with each move. The re-spins continue until all Rudolph Moving Wilds are off the game grid.

Santa and Rudolph’s Chasing Wild Feature

Rudolph is on the move and Santa’s hot on his trail. In the Chasing Wild feature, you need at least one Santa on the reels at the same time Rudolph appears on the fifth reel. This launches the Chasing Wild feature that works like the Moving Wild Bonus, but Rudolph also moves up and down reels as well as across them.

The bonus feature continues until Rudolph escapes off the grid. Along the way, he takes over Santa and turns Santa into his clone.

With ample bonus features and several payouts with the other symbols, it’s easy to regain some if not all of your per-spin wager. We tested it out with a fixed bet of $1, though you can go as low as 20 cents or as high as $20. In 10 spins ($10 total), we won $6.20 back. We kept going and our 13th spin proved beneficial and led to an $11 prize. We ended up with more than we spent, which is always a great feeling.
